BD Assistant was a winner under the category of employment. Their idea was to bring services to the doorsteps of Rangpur’s citizens by creating employment opportunities for dropouts. In the incubation phase, they initially conducted a market research to assess the market’s needs, rented an office space, and began to recruit employees. They officially started offering services within three months of the incubation phase. Currently, they offer a wide range of services- from electrical servicing to carpentry and tuition, among others. They pitched their business to BRAC’s investment committee after six months of the incubation phase, and later secured an investment from BRAC.
